In this 100% online, hands-on certificate program, graduates will learn to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Apply a systematic, agile, team-based and flexible process for game and simulation design.<\/li>\n<li>Apply skills for prototyping game and\/or simulation designs using appropriate software or game engines.<\/li>\n<li>Apply principles of visual design to the design of game and simulation assets.<\/li>\n<li>Become fluent in usage of serious gaming and simulation technology equipment.<\/li>\n<li>Assess and evaluate learning outcomes from employing game \/ simulation strategies using user experience and usability methods.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The curriculum consists of 16 graduate credit hours that may also be applied towards SISLT\u2019s M.S. or Ed.Sp. programs in Learning Technologies and Design and its two emphasis areas: Online Education, and Technology in Schools.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"h3\" style=\"color: #bd5c2c;\" href=\"https:\/\/missouri.qualtrics.com\/jfe\/form\/SV_6lNiK42AmiLAedo\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CLICK here to request more information!<\/a><\/p>\n<section id=\"requirements\">\n<h3>Certificate Requirements<\/h3>\n<p>The program requires 16 credit hours and includes course work in these categories:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Required (13 credit hours) which includes a 2-credit Internship experience<\/li>\n<li>Approved Electives (3 credit hours)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>See <a href=\"https:\/\/sislt.missouri.edu\/SGSD-Certificate-Advising-Aid\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Certificate Advising Aid<\/a> for program details.<\/p>\n<p>See descriptions of all <a href=\"https:\/\/cehd.missouri.edu\/information-science-learning-technologies\/courses\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">SISLT Courses<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/sislt.missouri.edu\/LT-Course-Rotation\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">See Tentative LT Course Rotation<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section id=\"apply\">\n<h3>Apply<\/h3>\n<h4>Admission Materials and Criteria<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>A GPA of 3.0 or higher (A=4.0) on the last 60 hours of undergraduate course work.<\/li>\n<li>Resume summarizing education and relevant experience.<\/li>\n<li>A statement of purpose that demonstrates your goals align with our program.<\/li>\n<li>GRE scores are <strong>not<\/strong> required.<\/li>\n<li>English language proficiency (international applicants only): TOEFL score of 4.5, IELTS score of 6.5, or equivalent score on an equivalent test accepted by the University of Missouri Graduate School.
