ParentLink is pleased to offer free parenting classes to support anyone in a parenting/caregiving role looking to build parenting skills, learn about child development, improve family communication, and learn positive discipline strategies.
Two types of classes:

- Parenting Foundations Online Course (MU Canvas System)
- Positive Parenting Virtual Classes (Zoom)
Positive Parenting and Support for Kinship Caregiving classes may be taken in addition to the Parenting Foundations course or on their own.
When are the classes offered and how long are they?

Parenting Foundations Online Course has six modules that can be completed on your schedule, starting and stopping as needed. Each module should take about one hour with the goal of completing the course in six weeks, ideally completing one module each week.
Parenting Foundations InformationPositive Parenting and Support for Kinship Caregiving classes are taken via Zoom with a ParentLink Family Support Specialist or Kinship Resource Specialist. You can take one or as many Parenting Classes as you’d like!
Class Titles and ScheduleWho are the classes for?
Parenting Foundations Course is for parents and caregivers with young children, age birth to five years, but is open to anyone. Individuals required to take parenting classes from a judge or Department of Social Service caseworker are encouraged to enroll!

Positive Parenting classes are for anyone raising a child, teen, or young adult to learn parenting techniques and discuss parenting concerns.
