Biography

Andrea Bustillo Lozano is an experienced recruiter for the Missouri Migrant Education Program. She recruits and supports family engagement for districts throughout the state. She uses her French and Spanish language skills for recruitment and services. She has worked primarily in language immersion and instruction, both teaching English to French students as well as French in an American language immersion school. She has also worked for non-profit organizations, dedicated to helping refugee families settle in Missouri. Her classroom experience has covered all ages, but she is particularly fond of early childhood and assisting non-profits. She also has experience with public agencies that serve families in the areas of education, health, and immigration. Andrea and other Missouri MEP recruiters work with schools, employers, and community organizations to locate and serve students whose formal education is interrupted by their families’ frequent moves in search of agricultural employment.
