Dr. Ashlie Lester received her Master of Science in Family Studies and Human Services, emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy, from Kansas State University in 2004. She earned her PhD in Human Development and Family Science from the University of Missouri in 2013. Dr. Lester’s research has focused on the intersection of intimate relationships and religion/spirituality. Currently, she engages in the scholarship of teaching and learning. As an instructor and graduate program advisor, she designs her courses so that students not only understand the life-changing science of HDFS, but also apply it to their personal and professional lives.
