After 31 years teaching in public school settings, Laura Zimmer joined MU as a Pre-Employment Transition Specialist in its inaugural year. She has earned a bachelor’s degree from Culver Stockton College and a master’s degree from MU. In addition, she has Reading Specialist certification from Missouri Baptist University. Laura is very involved in her community and has served as a 4H Club Leader. Laura was elected as University of Missouri Extension Board Member for Warren County and appointed as Park Board Member for the City of Warrenton. Laura believes in the concept of lifelong learning and strives to guide students in setting and reaching their goals. When not working with kids, Laura loves reading, daily exercise, church, and her family.

Laura serves the following school districts:  Clopton, Elsberry; High Road School/Wright City; Silex; St. Charles (High, Success School, West); Warren County; Warren County Alpha; Winfield; and Wright City.
