Outstanding Cooperating Teachers Honored

The MU College of Education’s Office of Field Experiences awarded Outstanding Cooperating Teacher Awards to area educators who have shown tremendous professional and personal influence to student teachers. The award winners included:

Christie Zoeller, a 2nd grade teacher at Hannah Cole Primary School in the Boonville R-I School District. Zoeller was nominated by Alicia Pavia, an Elementary Education major.

Kerri Graham, secondary science teacher at Rock Bridge High School in the Columbia Public School district. Graham was nominated by Ali Ohlhausen, Secondary Education/Biology Major.

Julia Edgar, special education teacher at Beulah Ralph Elementary School in the Columbia Public Schools. Edgar was nominated by Taylor Janisch, Special Education Major.

Anita Hummel, 6th grade middle school teacher at Gentry Middle School in the Columbia Public Schools. Hummel was nominated by Haley Schemmer, Middle School Education/Language Arts major.

Taryn Wall, 2nd grade elementary teacher at Derby Ridge Elementary school in the Columbia Public Schools. Wall was nominated by Emily Christensen, Elementary Education major.
