Jenessa Dodson

Jenessa Dodson is a Behavior Intervention Specialist Consultant for the Heart of Missouri Regional Professional Development Center. As a former Special Education teacher, Jenessa taught in a K-5 self-contained classroom for students with significant disabilities, as a resource room teacher, and as an Early Childhood Special Educator (ECSE). Jenessa also previously worked as an ECSE Process Coordinator for 18 years and K-4 Process Coordinator for two years.

Jenessa holds a bachelor’s degree in Special Education from the University of Central Missouri, a master’s in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Missouri, and a specialist degree in Educational Leadership-Superintendency from William Woods University. Jenessa specializes in Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS), Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA), and consulting with districts and teachers for Multi-Tiered Systems of Support. Her passions include Early Intervention, Social/Emotional Development, Communication Development, and Leadership.
