Brian Henry

Dr. Brian Henry has served in the field of education as a teacher and administrator for over thirty years. He received his Bachelors of Science in Education from Missouri Valley College, his Master of Arts in Education from Baker University, and his Doctorate in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from the University of Kansas. Dr. Henry has served as a middle school assistant principal, middle school principal, high school assistant principal, high school principal, assistant superintendent, deputy superintendent, and superintendent. In addition to his administrative experience, Dr. Henry serves as the Missouri Commissioner for the Interstate Compact on Educational Opportunity for Military Children. He has a passion for student learning and a commitment to creating equitable and inclusive learning environments that embrace all students, which has been demonstrated through his leadership of numerous diversity initiatives in the Waynesville R-VI School District. Dr. Henry has received several awards including the Missouri Association of School Administrators South Central Region New Superintendent of the Year, the Association of Defense Communities Defense Community Champion Award, and the Military Interstate Children’s Compact Commission’s Norman Arflack Leadership Award.
