David Graham

  • Assistant Professor of Professional Practice
  • Social Studies Division Chair

David Graham was honored to return to Mizzou, his alma mater, as the Social Studies Department Chair for Mizzou Academy’s global classes. David graduated from Mizzou in 1991 with a bachelor’s degree in education and certification to teach Business Education. Over the next 10 or 15 years, he added certifications in Social Studies and English Language Arts, as well as a master’s in educational administration from William Woods. While adding those certifications, David taught at Rock Bridge High School in Columbia, Missouri for 26 years. In 2016,  he also began teaching online courses for Mizzou Academy. Combined, he has taught many courses over 27 years in education, including all social studies courses. World History and Advanced Placement World History are his favorites, but they all hold a special place in his heart! In 2024, he stepped into the full-time Chair position with Mizzou Academy.

Personally, David has lived in Columbia his whole life, and loves it. He is married to Kerri, an elementary school principal, and has twin boys. For fun the Grahams mostly do what their sons like to do: soccer, robotics and play games and watch TV. David can’t wait to “meet” all his online students each semester! He strives to try to be available when needed, and if not, will get back as soon as possible!
