Jason Williamson is Assistant Professor of Professional Practice for Mizzou Academy and Academic Lead for Social Studies and Teacher Education in the Department of Learning, Teaching, and Curriculum. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Missouri focusing on learning, teaching, and curriculum with an emphasis in social studies education and qualitative research methods. His research interests focus in the areas of citizenship and social justice. Jason is also interested in how to prepare teachers for rural schools, after living and teaching in rural Missouri throughout his teaching career. Away from the classroom, Jason spends time on the family farm with his wife and son.
