More than 100 CEHD students graduate during December commencement ceremonies

Nearly 100 students from the University of Missouri College of Education and Human Development were recognized during December commencement ceremonies this weekend, marking the completion of academic journeys rooted in service, leadership and impact.
Graduates were honored across two ceremonies celebrating both undergraduate and graduate students whose work will extend beyond campus into classrooms, communities and organizations across Missouri and beyond.

“These graduates leave Mizzou not only with a degree, but with a commitment to serve, to lead and to improve the lives of others,” said Dean Kui Xie. “The communities they will touch and the learners they will support are the reason we celebrate this milestone.”
The graduate commencement ceremony was held Friday, Dec. 19, at the Hearnes Center, where Jeni Hart, Dean of the Graduate School, presented the candidates and Provost Matthew Martens conferred the degrees. The undergraduate ceremony followed on Saturday, Dec. 20, at Jesse Auditorium, with candidates presented by Dean Xie and degrees conferred by Provost Matthew Martens.
Throughout the weekend, graduates were recognized for academic achievement, perseverance and dedication to fields that shape education, information, lifespan, and intervention sciences. As they move forward, these graduates now join a network of more than 54,000 College of Education and Human Development alumni, connected through shared purpose and professional contributions.
“Our college prepares graduates whose impact reaches far beyond the classroom,” Xie said. “Their achievements are already making a difference, and their influence will continue to grow.”
