English Education (MEd)
The MEd in English education gives you a background in teaching reading and writing, adolescent literature and media literacy. Additionally, this program offers you the opportunity to expand your teaching skills and develop an expertise in lesson planning, curriculum creation, classroom management and diversity.
This degree is part of the English Education Program housed in the Department of Learning, Teaching and Curriculum.

Degree Requirements
Successful completion of the program requires 30 credit hours: 9 credit hours in the Learning Teaching and Curriculum Core, 12 from the English Education Core, and 9 from electives. At least 16 credit hours must be at the 8000 level.

You must meet two sets of minimum qualifications in order to be considered for admission:
A committee of faculty members reviews your application’s credentials. You are not guaranteed admission even if you meet the minimum qualifications.

- GRE scores
