Amelia Howser

Amelia Howser holds more than a decade of experience as a school counselor, primarily in the high school setting, within Columbia Public Schools. Recently, she took at 2-year hiatus from education, and dove into human resources and talent acquisition. This experience has enhanced her school counseling practice, with a much broader understanding of the diverse array of career opportunities available, and how to navigate the job search and interviewing process.
Amelia is passionate about social justice and committed to impacting change in her work through relationship building and finding creative ways to support all students in reaching their goals. In all her previous positions, Amelia has maintained a student-centered, collaborative, and empathetic approach to providing support for student success, and is excited to apply that same approach at Mizzou Academy.
