Jeff Healy

Jeffrey William Healy was born and raised in San Diego, California. He attended Oregon State University where he graduated from the College of Business with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing Management. After spending several years working in sales and media advertising, Jeff felt a change was needed. It was at this time that he accepted a unique position as a Classroom Teacher for an American high school program at a school in his wife’s hometown of Florianopolis, Brazil. This is where he developed a passion for teaching and working with English learners.
Jeff brings a wealth of knowledge from over 10 years of experience working with English learners both inside the classroom and as an online educator. He has also earned his Masters of Arts degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) from the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs. Jeff has worked for Mizzou Academy as a part time Instructional Specialist since 2018. In June of 2024, Jeff was promoted to lead the Speech and Debate courses at Mizzou Academy, where he currently serves as the Assistant Professor of Professional Practice, Co-Teach Speech Chair.
