John is a Pre-ETS specialist in the St. Louis Region, as well as a member of the Phoenix Team. Prior to coming to MU, John Popp worked in public education for 28 years as a Crisis Counselor. John has a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Missouri, as well as a teaching certificate in high school social studies. Throughout his career, John has coached men’s and women’s basketball at multiple levels. In addition to spending time with family and friends, John enjoys camping, traveling, coaching, and guiding people through financial difficulties.

John serves the following school districts in Jefferson County:  Crystal City, DeSoto, DeSoto Alternative, Division of Youth Services (New Day), Festus, Fox, Fox–Seckman, Grandview, Herculaneum, Herculaneum RISE, Hillsboro, Hillsboro Learning Center, Jefferson County, and St. Pius.
