Lisa Boyer
- Instructional & Counseling Specialist
Lisa Boyer is the Instructional and Counseling Specialist at Mizzou Academy. For over 30 years, Lisa Boyer served in our public schools, teaching across subject areas in social studies, gifted education, study skills, and Spanish. She also held a position as a middle school counselor for 10 years. Upon retirement, Ms. Boyer taught Spanish at a private elementary school and part-time with Columbia Public Schools.
Ms. Boyer holds two master’s degrees, one in business administration from William Woods University (Fulton, MO) and another in Educational Counseling and Psychology from Stephens College (Columbia, MO). Her bachelor’s work includes degrees in history, political science, social studies education, Spanish language education, and a minor in Spanish language, all from the University of Missouri (Columbia, MO).
At Mizzou Academy, Ms. Boyer supports middle and high school students as a school counselor. She also supports students in our high school social studies and Spanish program, supports students through exam proctoring, and contributes to curriculum development projects.
Personally, she has five fantastic kids, a wonderful husband, and three sweet, small dogs. Her family enjoys board games, card games, and spending time together as their full schedules allow.
