Melissa Orr is a District Continuous Improvement Consultant for the Heart of Missouri RPDC. Melissa retired after teaching twenty-eight years in elementary classrooms. She brings many strategies to educate children, both socially and academically. She holds a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction and national board certification in elementary education. As an instructional leader, she strived to set learning goals yearly to increase student achievement, including leading her district in using technology in the classrooms throughout the day while raising student engagement.

As a member of the DCI team, Melissa provides training, coaching, and support to districts around a variety of effective teaching, learning, and collaborative practices. Melissa is excited to be a part of the DCI team and looks forward to working with the Heart of Missouri regional schools providing free on-site professional development.
