Dr. Sherry Denney has been in education for over thirty years, the majority of the time in St. Louis, Missouri (U.S.A.). She received her bachelor’s degree from Drury University (Springfield, Missouri) and her master’s from the University of Missouri-St. Louis. Her doctorate is in Educational Leadership from Saint Louis University. Dr. Denney has a professionally diverse background because she is enthusiastically committed to lifelong learning.
As a global citizen, she is also dedicated to bringing the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations into focus for the courses that she leads. Dr. Denney embeds action-oriented information within the curriculum to reinforce these goals and to help ensure a better world for everyone. She feels we all have a role to play in this mission if we are to solve existing global challenges.
In addition to these commitments, Dr. Denney feels privileged to serve all the stakeholders affiliated with Mizzou Academy. She especially loves giving feedback to students and connecting with them on an interpersonal level. In this way, she acts as a learning partner for our scholars to help them succeed. Dr. Denney also serves as a liaison to the various schools they attend and embraces her professional relationships with these partners.
