Mizzou Academy Begins New Missouri Partnerships
During the global pandemic, several school districts in Missouri have joined schools throughout the world by partnering with Mizzou Academy for quality online education.
As the 2020-2021 school year begins, Mizzou Academy has launched new elementary program licensing partnerships with seven Missouri districts. Those districts (and an approximate number of students) include:
- Columbia Public Schools = 2,200 students
- Kirksville Public Schools = 115 students
- Boone County Cooperative, made up of Hallsville, Harrisburg, Sturgeon, Centralia, Southern Boone County school districts = 200 K-5 students and 100 6-8 grade students
In addition, Mizzou Academy is a leading provider of Missouri Course Access and Virtual School Program (MOCAP) classes that help Missouri students take courses that are not available in their home district. MOCAP enrollment at Mizzou Academy has seen a 131% increase at the start of the 20-21 school year.
Mizzou Academy is a nationally accredited online/blended school that is housed within the University of Missouri College of Education. There are more than 200 courses offered within a variety of programs, including self-paced, semester-based, and co-teaching. The biggest benefit to many school districts is the quality curriculum that provides access across Missouri, the U.S. and the world.
