This degree is part of the Literacy Education Program housed in the Department of Learning, Teaching and Curriculum.

The MEd in literacy education is for certified, practicing educators. The courses are designed to expand your knowledge and application of research-based practices in the teaching of reading, writing, and language arts. You can expect to increase your expertise in multimodal literacy, balanced literacy, science of reading, play in the language arts classroom, literacy instruction for striving readers, and culturally responsive instruction. By completing the degree, you are positioned as a literacy leader and advocate for all students.
