Amanda Shelton

Amanda Shelton is pursuing her PhD in Information Science and Learning Technologies at the University of Missouri.

Amanda is interested in using methods associated with various academic disciplines across the social sciences and humanities to examine pressing current and historical issues related to information and society. She is particularly interested in information history, current and historical intersections between health and information, and current and historical intersections between marginalized communities and information.

Amanda previously earned BA and MLIS degrees from the University of Missouri and a JD from Georgetown University. She has worked in a state archives, an academic library, and federal legislative offices.
