Graduation is the completion of all degree requirements, as recorded on the official transcript, and the conferring of a diploma.
Undergraduates: Review requirements for degree completion and work with your academic advisor to determine your anticipated graduation semester no later than one year prior to anticipated degree completion. Check the Academic Calendar on the Registrar’s website and submit your graduation application in myZou by the priority deadline.
Graduates: Review and complete all requirements and timelines for degree completion in your academic program.
Commencement is a ceremony that recognizes students for the completion of their degree.
Undergraduates: The College of Education & Human Development hosts commencement exercises each May and December.Commencement 2023
- Relevant degree candidates will receive an email with ceremony participation details.
- The College of Education & Human Development only provides cords for students who complete the Education Honors program.
- Medallions for Latin Honors are to be picked up from the Mizzou Store.
- Tickets are not required for College of Education & Human Development Commencement.
All Masters Degrees and Education Specialist Candidates: Please review and observe the commencement guidelines from the Graduate School.
PhD and EdD Candidates: The Hooding Ceremony for doctoral candidates is hosted by the Graduate School in December and May. Please review and observe their commencement guidelines.
